* Most critical measurements needed for quotes.
A. This is the total wall space the fireplace is located on. The wall measurement
would be the flat space before any openings i.e... bookshelves,
windows, doors or the wall protruding outward from the main wall.*
B. This is the actual opening width of the firebox. If it is a
metal prefabricated firebox, then measure edge to edge inside the
fire screens.*
C. This would be the actual height of the firebox. If it is a
metal prefabricated firebox, then measure the opening inside the
fire screens.*
D. Record The total width of the hearth.*
E. If a face stone is installed, then measure the width of that
stone on each side of the firebox.
F. If a face stone is installed, then measure the width of that
stone above the opening of the firebox.
G. If a face stone is installed, then measure the height of the
stone header.
H. If a face stone is installed, then measure the total height of
the stone from the top of the hearth.
I. If the firebox is raised up from the hearth, then measure that
distance. Usually metal prefabricated fireboxes are raised at this
area.
J. If you have a raised hearth, then record the height from the
floor to the top of the hearth.
